Whiskey and Hoes (my new gardening book)

If you have been a follower of my blog anytime over the past thirteen years, you know we have gardened a lot of places. It has not been easy growing food in the west, but I have figured out a book’s worth of tried and true ways to get a garden up and going fast despite the extreme conditions we face in the west and southwest United States!

I’ll never forget when one of our farm interns said sweetly to me, “I hate to tell you this, but I could’ve grown doubled this in doubled the time back home!” In Iowa they apparently have rain.

But those of us who keep on keeping on in 60 mile and hour winds, surrounded by biblical numbers of locusts, squash bugs, and drought, I have a book for you. My new gardening book has been released! It is filled with everything you need (even in other parts of the world) to start, maintain, and enjoy a beautiful, sustainable garden. A book that will keep you laughing all the way through. I present to you my new book, Whiskey and Hoes; Successful Gardening in the Wild West. Click Here to order.

Available now on Amazon or through me. As we speak, it was 73 degrees yesterday, and we have a winter storm warning today. I’ll go tuck my spring crops in and put on a pot of soup. It will be in the 60’s again for Easter. Happy Spring!
