He’s here! Eleven weeks old and thirty-three pounds of fluff. (And muscle and baby teeth and mischief!)
He is a gentle giant. My granddaughter ran into the house laughing yesterday to meet the new addition. She ran right up to him and he began licking her face. He played with my daughter’s dog. He loves the kitten. He welcomed my students to the house. He is a friendly fellow.
I know I will be learning a lot in the next year about training; something I have never done. He’s a smart one. He outsmarted the baby gates with sheer force. He doesn’t sleep in the kennel; he wants to sleep on the floor by our bed. But he is a good boy. And I am excited to have him here.
Welcome Gandalf to Pumpkin Hollow Farm! (He set that pumpkin there!)
He’s adorable! And I love his name. 🙂
He matches Merlin! He is a cutie.
So jealous! I know a farm is no longer in our future, but the GP was going to be the centerpiece to our farm. They are beautiful dogs and I can’t wait to watch him grow up thru your blog.
Well this isn’t much of a farm either! Big garden and some chickens. More of a homestead! I am glad I had the heeler first for a few weeks. That guy was so crazy that he makes Gandalf look angelic!
Wow! My dog is 6 months old and just now 30 lbs!
Oh yes, just a recommendation, as far as training books go, anything by Patricia B. McConnell is good. Her books are full of information and she’s also a brilliant writer, so you won’t fall asleep reading them. 😉 I think she has one just about puppies. The Puppy Primer I think it’s called.
I will look into those, thank you so much!
He is adorable!! Congrats on the new furbaby.
Thank you!
What a handsome fellow! I hope you have many years of happiness with him. 🙂
Thank you!
Super cute dog!
Thank you! He’s like a little polar bear!
