Why Farmgirl School?

I have always been in love with Little House on the Prairie and American Indians. I guess I have always loved the original off grid lifestyle. Lots of rewarding work, keeping busy, and keeping life simple appeals to me.  Growing up with all modern conveniences and living in the city didn’t help me much when it came time to try to start a garden or live more sustainably. I have come a long way and have a long way to go and am glad to be sharing all the information I can get so that it will make it easier for other city girls to become farmgirls too!  You can be a farmgirl in the city or in the country!

Always look at the dates when you read a blog post.  We have moved quite a bit, and have so much that we have learned over ten+ years that it can get confusing if you don’t note the date!

I’m glad to see you here! Happy Homesteading!
