From my journal on September 16, 2024:

I have a feeling we are getting close to selling. A Great Horned Owl showed up on my bird app and I did not have him on my life list. (Meaning I haven’t heard one in Alabama.)

If you are new around here to the crazy life of Katie and Doug, you may be interested to know that a Great Horned Owl always shows up to tell us we are moving.

That same day we had a last minute showing and we went under contract the next day.

This “death” has been the hardest yet. Now I get to rebirth. Praise the Lord and pass the moving boxes! We’re going home.
