Our nine teenaged girls are becoming old enough to join the ranks of the other six as layers. We got our first egg from the new set of chickens the other day. It does look like a robin snuck into the coop and laid an egg. So adorable and precious. I would have never guessed that an egg could fit that description! Thank you, Sophia!

I love getting those blue and green eggs. I have one Americana that about 1 1/2 years old that’s become broody.
Ooh, maybe you will have little babies!
Reblogged this on Acre Hill Farm.
Yay for babies becoming mamas!!!
I sometimes wish they would stay palm sized for longer. They are so freakin cute, but I do love the first eggs!
I am playing the waiting game. Our 14 pullets (hopefully they are all females) are 17 weeks old Friday. I will knew if our two EE are hens if I find two colored eggs, on the same day, in the next few weeks!!
We got our first eggs this week too. Hooray!
I can’t wait for the other girls to start laying too! A dozen eggs a day! Whoo hoo!
